Average House Cleaning Rates: Hourly vs. Flat Fee

Understand two common pricing models and what to clarify with each.

Hourly pricing

An hourly quote can suit an open-ended task list, but the final amount may change with the home's condition. Ask whether the rate is per cleaner or per crew, if there is a minimum, and what happens when the allotted time runs out.

Flat-fee pricing

A flat quote gives a defined price for an agreed scope. Check what happens if the work differs from the description you provided or you request extra tasks. Neither approach is inherently cheaper: an accurate scope matters more than the pricing label.
